摘要：A ball cage for a constant velocity plunging joint which having an outer joint partwith a internally cylindrical guiding face and an inner joint part with an outer sphericalguiding face and torque transmitting balls held in the ball cage. The ball cage includes a
plurality of circumferentially distributed windows () for receiving the torque transmittingballs, and defining a central window plane (M); an outer free face () and an outer sphericalcontrol face () for guiding the ball cage relative to the outer joint part; and an innerspherical control face () for guiding the ball cage relative to the inner joint part. Thecenter of the outer spherical control face () and the center of the inner spherical controlface () are positioned at an axial distance from the central window plane (M). The outerspherical () is hard-machined and the outer free face () is soft-machined.
