摘要：A blood vessel prosthesis to be used in substituting or by-passing diseased inblood vessels. When it is prepared so as to be composed of an outer ply and an inner ply,each being biologically non-absorbable and porous, and a biologically non-absorbableand nonporous intermediate ply and to satisfy the relationships of 1.2a+20≥b and a≤40when a pressure of 200 mmHg is applied to the inner cavity of itself and the inner cavityof its outer ply, wherein a and b refer to percentage increases in the diameters of theabove cavities, respectively, the risk of separation between the inner and intermediateplies can be minimized and the fear of the breakage of the prosthesis or the diastasis ofthe anastomotic part can be relieved, even if the separation should have occurred. The
prosthesis is usable in the thoracic or abdominal cavity where no reinforcing effect by thesurrounding tissues can be expected.
