摘要：A cable union fixed to a housing wall has mating threaded sleeves and a seal.Inside the female sleeve between the internally threaded part and the end shoulder is aretaining ring (50) which is driven by the male sleeve towards the shoulder. The ring has apressure face which clamps the end of the cable screen between it and the face of acontact ring (55) resting on the shoulder. There is an extra fitting to clamp the screen tothe retaining ring, this being an elastic ring of round section sitting in a groove in theretaining ring that is open radially outwards. Between this groove and the pressure face,the retaining ring has a conical section.
