My Favorite Traditional Chinese Food

Many traditional Chinese foods are closely related to culture. As for my favorite traditional food, the mooncake for the Mid-Autumn Festival is my top priority.

For one thing, round-shaped mooncakes symbolize reunion. Eating moon cakes on the big day is not only a feast for people’s appetite, but also to show their missing and good wishes for their family and friends. For another, people will give mooncakes to their relatives, friends and parents to express their gratitude. Even more impressive is that the fillings reveal cultural features.
