摘要：A characteristics corrector in a video signal processing system for correcting
characteristics of the video signal processing system at the time of recording and/orreproducing a video signal, has a reference pulse generating circuit (31) which generatesreference pulses of varying amplitude corresponding to gradations from a black level toa white level of a video signal to be recorded during a blanking period of the video signalto be recorded. A pulse amplitude data generating circuit (32) generates quantified dataused for the discrimination of the amplitudes of the reference pulses. A reference datainterleaving circuit (7) is provided for interleaving, as a reference data, the referencepulses and pulse amplitude data indicative of the amplitudes thereof during the blankingperiod, as is a level correcting circuit (11) for correcting the level of the reproduced videosignal by the utilization of a plurality of reference pulses and pulse amplitude dataobtained from the reproduced video signal. In this way, the reference pulses can beaccurately coordinated with each other and hence the level of the video signal can becorrected accurately.
